The 2014 Colden Arts Festival & Belle Star Music Festival
A Celebration of Community, Art and Music
Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5
11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Last year’s festival was the most successful in many years. A record number of artists and vendors participated and the Belle Star Music Festival had people dancing into the night. The Festival this year has been moved to its original weekend in October to take advantage of the beauty of our Colden hills awash in fall colors.
This year the Festival will include:
An exhibit of art created by students from the Colden Elementary School.
A variety of local exhibitors, artisans and artists who will be recognized with awards and prizes.
The Colden Farmers’ Market will offer the freshest products from our local producers as well as unique items from soaps and candles to plants, honey and baked goods on Saturday from 8:30 – 1pm.
The Bread of Life’s annual Rummage Sale is bigger and better than ever.
It will take place on October 3 – 5 with a special pre-sale on Friday evening for just $1.00 admission.
The always popular Wendel’s chicken barbecue will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
Colden’s famous eateries will be serving up their delicious food and drinks both days and throughout the evening. Seating will be available under the tent at the Colden Country Inn for everything from chicken barbecue to chicken wings and more.
The afternoon Belle Star music will feature a new “Porch Series” at the Colden Mill. Saturday’s music will be provided by the Fredtown Stompers and Sunday’s Jazz by The Phil Georger Quartet. Music will be from Noon – 3 pm each day.
Continuing with the Belle Starr Concert series Saturday evening’s concert at the Colden Country Inn will highlight 14 year old blues sensation Hayden Fogle and The Ambassadors followed by Billy McEwen and The Soul Invaders. Music will begin at approximately 4 pm.
Concerts at the Inn will take place under the tent so weather will not be a problem. Best of all, every musical event will be Free of Charge.
